Motorsports
Racing is not only a passion but of my art.
I’ve been competing in different road-race competitions since 2008. My seasoned driving experience has gained me a seat on a Chicago based team.
2016 MiSFIRE podiumed one 1st place and gained sponsorship from Two Guy Entrepreneur Group.
2017 MiSFIRE podiumed two 2nd places and two 3rd places gaining sponsorship from the Eneos race testing oil group.
2018 MiSFIRE ran most of the races in the top five but DNF’d many races with issues tied to new modifications and part development.
2019 was a strong until an early season 24hr race. During the race halfway through my 2nd stint at 3:40am, exiting the carousel I went wide to pass when the headlights of the cars behind me reflected in my eye for a moment. The rear wheel just touched the wet grass. This sent the car into a fishtail across the track and ended with me rolling over. MiSFIRE bought a new car but wasn’t ready for any competitions.
Outside of the team I run my personal track car that I have owned since 2005. A MKIV GTI that has moved from stock to track only, growing with me as my experience and love of driving & racing has grown.
2019 ended 24hr at Nelson Ledges Road Course
During my 2nd stint upon exiting the carousel a momentary light distraction paired with wet grass ended 2019 season for MiSFIRE.

MKIV GTI
This car started off as a daily driver. I began to track it with NASA years ago and ever since then, it has progressed with me as I gained experience on track.
What started off as a pristine MKIV GTI, is now a track only dedicated car. The interior has been sacrificed to accommodate a roll cage. With safety first, 2 Corbeau bucket seats with 5 point harness strap me in. Stock suspension gives way to too much body roll so the dampers have been upgraded with custom revalved Koni/Ground Control set up. All the bushings are polyurethane ensuring no loose suspension connections still exist. The factory open diff has been swapped with a 1.5 Quaife LSD eliminating the much unwanted understeer. Running Continental Challenge slicks, my factory brakes were no longer up for the task and have been replaced with 986 4 piston Calipers. The engine/turbo is at the moment mostly OE, however everything around has been upgraded to handle the stress of track abuse.
Pre-race butterflies
Strapped into the seat before grinding I do my best to focus off the nerves with visualizations laps.
